Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) for adolescents

​​The Gram Vaani IVRS is a two-way communication to increase awareness on issues such as sexual and reproductive health, safety, nutrition and education and create a safe space for adolescents to record their experiences, questions and comments.

Hear Babli's Story
Babli Tirkey shared that many girls are not aware about sexual & reproductive health rights, especially around menstruation but through Surbhi's story they are getting all the necessary information. She promised that she will share her learning from this campaign with other girls in her area.​

Hear Sanjana's Story
Sanjana Kumari from Ranchi, Jharkhand shared that previously she used to throw away iron tablets assuming that it was meant for old people. After listening to Ab Meri Baari campaign she understood that these pills are actually needed to fight anemia in growing age. Now she has also started taking healthy meals which she was not taking earlier and has decided to share these learnings with other adolescent girls of her village. ​

Hear Shyamoli's Story
Shyamoli Das from Nimdih block of Saraikela-Kharsawan district of Jharkhand called up Ab Meri Baari Mobile Vaani to share her personal experience about toilet facilities at her school. She shared that in general days school toilets remain unclean and students take the burden to clean the toilet on their own. But when  toilets get cleaned teachers lock the toilets and reserve it for their own use. ​

Prabha Kumari from Bishungarh block of Hazaribagh district, Jharkhand shared that girls are forced to miss their classes during periods as there is no common room or any special arrangement dedicated for girls in the schools. ​
